A year ago I weighed 357 pounds. Today I’m 216.
That’s 141 pounds in one year, at 50 years old. If you’ve followed Max Level Life, you know I’m not doing this perfectly. Some months I lose ten pounds and some months I lose 0.4. But I keep climbing, and I’ve learned that you don’t have to climb alone.
So I’m starting something bigger than my own scale.
Climb With Me is a fundraiser for the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC). OAC is a national nonprofit that supports people living with obesity. They provide education and advocacy, and they push back on the weight bias a lot of us have dealt with our whole lives, at the doctor’s office, at work, and even at the gym.
Every dollar goes directly to OAC. The fundraiser runs through Facebook, so none of the money comes to me.
This is Part 1. I’ll run the fundraiser in 90-day stretches while I keep documenting the journey here and on YouTube. That covers the weigh-ins, the workouts, the money side, and the honest wins and misses.
If my story has meant anything to you, even $5 helps. If you can’t give right now, sharing the fundraiser helps just as much.
It’s never too late. Climb with me.
